A Walk Through the Past 

In this unit,we mainly explore the theme of life and death, starting from literature(short stories), and then through the investigation and research project around the cemetery field trip, grouped students choose a task that they have interest in to further dig into another aspect of the topic, integrating other subjects such as Social Studies(life expectancy, causes of death, and gender issues), History(historical events related to the social studies), Material science and Chemistry(gravestone study), and Arts (music interpretation and story telling). Finally, through presentation and website integration, all the research reports are shared and further engagement can be extended out of classroom.
