Words of Cautions

Allowing the living to revisit their memories of the deceased in a specific environment has far-reaching positive effect and teaching about death is an important life lesson for students.

Here are suggestions for both young adults, teachers and parents:

  • For students, please act with sincere reverence and respect to the deceased on the field trip and later investigation and discussion in the unit.

  • Cemetery study, fascinating as it is, can connect the subjects of literature, social studies and science, etc. but may elicit emotional responses in young adults as well. Both teachers and parents need to attach more significance to their inner landscape to help address certain psychological shadows and fluctuations timely.
